How to Play TriPeaks Solitaire

TriPeaks (also called Tri Towers) is a fast-paced solitaire game where you clear three overlapping peaks by playing cards that are one rank higher or lower than the waste pile. Build long streaks for bonus points!

📋 Rules

1

Setup

28 cards are arranged in three overlapping peaks (4 rows). The bottom 10 cards are face-up; the rest are face-down. 24 cards go to the stock, with one starting card in the waste.

2

Playing Cards

Click any exposed card that is exactly one rank higher or lower than the top waste card. Suit does not matter. For example, a 7 can be played on a 6 or an 8.

3

Wrapping

Kings and Aces wrap around — you can play a King on an Ace and vice versa.

4

Streaks

Playing consecutive cards without drawing from stock builds a streak. Longer streaks earn more points per card!

5

Stock

Click the stock pile to draw a new card to the waste when no tableau cards can be played. This resets your streak.

🧠 Strategy Tips

  • Plan sequences to maximize streak length. Look 2-3 cards ahead before playing.
  • Prioritize clearing the peaks (top cards) since they block multiple cards below them.
  • Choose wisely when multiple cards can be played — pick the one that opens up more plays.
  • Save stock draws for when you truly have no moves. Each draw resets your streak bonus.
  • Watch for ascending/descending runs in the tableau that you can chain together.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

How does streak scoring work?

Each card in a streak is worth more points than the last. The first card scores 5 points, the second 10, the third 15, and so on. Long streaks are very rewarding!

Is every TriPeaks game winnable?

No, roughly 90% of TriPeaks deals are solvable, making it one of the more forgiving solitaire games.

Do Aces and Kings connect?

Yes! In TriPeaks, ranks wrap around. You can play an Ace on a King or a King on an Ace.
